Database Backup Problem

Message: when I want to creat backup from SQL server 2000 sp3
then show one massage that, cannot find the DLL xpstar.dll, or one
of the DLLs it references.Reason: 126(The specified module could not be foun

If this is the first time you have run this since applying SP3 it sounds
like the installation failed and you should check the logs and re-install it
,
if not something may have been corrupted in which case applying a more recen
t
hotfix or service pack may be the option.
If these backups are run through sqlmaint, you could always write your own
jobs using T-SQL
