Is there a way to backup a database to CD?
1 - On a CD burner that is NOT attached to the server
2 - On a CD burner that IS attached to the server
Thanks,
-mac-
If the obvious weren't so obscure, I'd be less confused.
I have a SQL Server DB that backs up directly to drive F, which is the
burner in the local machine. Works like a champ.

|||And if you want to backup to another machine, you have to
map a network drive to the distant burner
then set DBCC TRACEON(1807) option (this allows backups
on network drives)
i did not actually tried it, but i think this should help
